Our group celebrates the rich diversity of dance styles and cultures. Join us to explo and unleash your creativity. Sii is a program designed for children and youth ages 6-16 with a high interest in discovering their hidden talents. We seek youth leaders to become positive social change makers.
5,000 + children, youth and young adults have been positively impacted through its camps, dance classes, Haitian Heritage Month activities and the Youth Engagement Study Circle ( YES-C). Due to lack of funds, YES-C has ceased its monthly meetings at the end of 2024. YES-C engaged youth ages 10–21 in self-advocacy skills, research, analytical and communication skills through creative writing and debates.

To address the cessation of YES-C monthly meetings due to lack of funds, here are actionable ideas to either revive or replace these meetings while maintaining the core mission of engaging youth in self-advocacy and communication skills development:
Ideas to Revive YES-C Monthly Meetings
1.Virtual Meetings
- Transition to online platforms like Zoom or Google Meet to reduce costs associated with physical venues.
- Incorporate interactive activities such as virtual debates, creative writing workshops, or guest speaker sessions.
2. Community Partnerships
- Collaborate with local schools, libraries, or community centers to host meetings in their spaces for free or at a reduced cost.
- Partner with local businesses or organizations to sponsor the meetings in exchange for promotional opportunities.
3. Fundraising Initiatives: Give Miami Day & Giving Tuesday
4. Volunteer-Led Meetings:
- Recruit volunteers from the community, including parents, teachers, and local leaders, to help organize and facilitate meetings.
5. Rotational Hosting:
- Implement a system where participants or their families host meetings on a rotational basis, reducing the need for a dedicated venue.
Ideas to Replace YES-C Monthly Meetings
1. Quarterly Workshops
- Replace monthly meetings with larger, quarterly workshops that focus on specific themes like self-advocacy, communication skills, or creative writing.
3. Mentorship Program : Arts Administration Internship Program
- Develop a mentorship program where youth are paired with mentors who guide them in developing self-advocacy and communication skills.
4. Community Action Projects
- Encourage youth to form small teams and work on community projects that align with YES-C’s mission, such as organizing local events or creating awareness campaigns.
5. Collaborative Events
- Partner with other youth organizations to co-host events, reducing the financial burden while expanding the reach and impact of the program.
